Tēnā koutou katoa,
About this event
Tēnā koutou katoa, Welcome to the Ethnic Partnerships Newsletter. Strong relationships are at the heart of effective policing. Across Aotearoa, Police and community partners are working together to build trust, deepen understanding, and support safer communities. In this edition, we reflect on the value of coming together, from the connections and conversations fostered at the NZ Police Tāmaki Makaurau Ethnic Hui to the insights gained by future Police officers through the Tuia programme. We also share updates on issues affecting our communities, including the recent release of the 2026 New Zealand Security Threat Environment Report and the introduction of roadside drug driving testing. Alongside these stories, we celebrate the contribution of our people and highlight initiatives that support social cohesion, community safety, and stronger partnerships Thank you for your continued support and interest in this important work. We hope this edition provides useful insights, sparks new conversations, and reinforces the importance of working together to create safe, connected, and resilient communities.
